Is Avocado low FODMAP?

Moderate — depends on portion

FODMAP group: Polyols (sorbitol/mannitol)

Serving guidance

About 1/8 of an avocado is a low-FODMAP serving; larger amounts are high in sorbitol.

Why

Avocado is a portion-dependent food. A small amount is usually fine, but it's high in the polyol sorbitol, so a half or whole avocado can trigger symptoms. Watch total intake across a day.
