Is Apple low FODMAP?

High FODMAP

FODMAP groups: Excess fructose, Polyols (sorbitol/mannitol)

Serving guidance

High in both excess fructose and sorbitol; even half an apple is typically too much during elimination.

Why

Apples are high in both excess fructose and the polyol sorbitol, a double hit that makes them a common trigger. Apple juice and dried apple are even more concentrated.
