Is Corn (sweetcorn) low FODMAP?
Moderate — depends on portion
FODMAP groups: Fructans, Polyols (sorbitol/mannitol)
Serving guidance
About 1/3 cup of canned corn, or half a cob, is low-FODMAP; larger amounts are higher.
Why
Corn is portion-dependent. A small serving (roughly half a cob or 1/3 cup kernels) is low-FODMAP, but larger amounts rise in fructans and sorbitol. Popcorn and corn tortillas are low-FODMAP in normal servings.
Low-FODMAP swaps
- A small serving of corn
